PIONEAR is an EIC-funded project within the Horizon Europe framework of the European Union, aiming to develop a novel photonic microphone technology, improving by far the quality of current microphones.
Our team of four has moved into a new custom made facility spanning 150 square meters, fit for our needs. We are more dedicated than ever in our pursuit of the next generation of microphone technology.
The Sweden-based company Lumiary, together with international partners, has been awarded 3.65 million EUR in funding for the development of next-generation microphone technology through the prestigious EIC Pathfinder (European Innovation Council's program for the development of breakthrough technologies).
A new type of microphone will use laser technology to hear as well as the human ear, or better. Behind the technological leap is Per Grön and the deep tech company Lumiary, which is based in Härnösand and aims to revolutionize professional audio, consumer electronics and medical technology.
